Feedback from webseminars

I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your web seminar on 3 March. For the last two weeks I have been telling clients to take the "K" of off all their KPI's and only put it back on the 5 that they would benefit by monitoring daily. It's early days so far but very few "Ks" have found their way back on the front of PI's. The new KPI's are much more focused and were easier to arrive at with the guidance that they don't need to last for more than a few days or weeks.

Workshops

I attended your workshops on "50+ways to improve the accounting function" and then sent my AP team and management accountants to the workshop "month-end reporting by day three or less". We then ran the post it re-engineering workshop in house by ourselves and are now reporting on working day three. A good result.
Stuart Cronin, Financial Controller, Uecomm

The general consensus was that this was one of the most worthwhile professional development seminars that any of us had attended in quite a while. Your passion for all of the subjects covered came across throughout the day, and was backed up by the substance of your subject matter expertise and practical experience. The friendly, interactive nature of the seminar was a big plus.

In-house courses:

David facilitated meaningful discussion amongst the group and helped us generate our own ideas for improvement. We identified unnecessary tasks that we have been performing and ways in which we can efficiently obtain information from different sources. Our current practices and negativity were continually challenged and our minds were opened to believing that what seems impossible now is in fact possible. The training had a very practical and participatory feel. We walked out of the training with open minds, a practical plan and dedication to implementing Day 1 reporting and process improvement.
Kara Schliebs, Financial Controller ,DMG Radio Australia Pty Ltd, Adelaide

Our accelerated closing is going well. The Financial accounting have taken it to heart and are already meeting their deadlines. Management accounting is harder but we have put in place an accelerated variance commentary system at a very high level to get a one day turnaround on this. So we made our Thursday deadline for our second SMT meeting of the month. So your session has been very effective.

Thank you for an excellent workshop. All of the teams gained some invaluable insight (including our economists) to the various topics. The troops are primed, share the vision and we are planning our changes. An outstanding success.

Quick Month End In-House Workshops

David hosted an in house session with our financial and management accountants to promote and plan for faster month end accounting. His enthusiasm quickly had everyone rolling up their sleeves and engaging in the process of identifying positive streamlining ideas and unnecessary month end tasks. With the benefits of an accelerated close well communicated, the team closed the session with detailed plans to implement within two months. Such was the team determination that two months later the accelerated plan was in place, trial balance on day 1, full management reports, including variance commentary and forecasts, by day 4.
