Many of us have drifted into management without adequate preparation. Very much in the way we drifted into adulthood. If we are to be successful we need to acquire the appropriate skills, work with great managers and be mentored. Some of us are the luck ones who meet a passing “comet” that sucks them up in their slip stream until, they, themselves have the momentum, knowledge and skills for senior management positions.
Many people are thrown into management positions totally inadequately prepared for the responsibilities it entails. A poor start in management can be harmful to your future prospects. It thus makes sense to prepare for the position. This course is based on the book David is writing called “management summiting - a guide to the top” The book is based around the observations David has made over the last 25 years, working for diverse organisations.
